Hosting Landing Pages on Your Own WordPress Site

So you have put together a great looking landing page in LeadSanity. One of the most important features that we make available to our users is the ability to host landing pages on their domain. This tutorial will outline the necessary steps for you to do that. So let’s begin.

1. Build a page.

This is an obvious one. Before you can grab your page and host it on your own site/domain, you have to have it built AND published. So let’s say for the purpose of this tutorial I have a page built in LeadSanity. And here it is:

2. Download the page.

Now that you know which page you want to host on your site, let’s download it. For that you simply need to click this icon for the page you want.

Once you click it, a menu drops down that looks like this:

You need to click “Host Page On My Domain”. As soon as you click it, the page will get downloaded to your local computer. Depending on which browser you’re using the download process may vary, but you should have no trouble finding the newly downloaded page on your local computer. In my case, here is what it looks like:

I got a page “weightloss.html” download to my computer. Your page name will be different.

3. Grab the source code of the page you just downloaded.

Let’s image your newly downloaded page is on your desktop now.

Open Notepad on your computer. If you’re using Windows, Notepad is a standard program that comes with every Windows and looks like this:

For Mac users I’m sure there is an equivalent. Now that your notepad is open, all you need to do is click on the page you just downloaded (in my case it’s weightloss.html) and drag it inside your Notepad window and drop it like this:

Once your drop the page onto your Notepad, you will see some Javascript code. You need to select all of it and copy it.

In the next step you will paste it into your WordPress page.

4. Paste the code into your WordPress page or post.

Ok, you’re almost done. What you need to do now is go into your WordPress admin panel and create a new page or post that you want your LeadSanity landing page to be hosted on. In my case I created a new post called “My awesome squeeze page”:

On the far right of the text editor, you will see two small tabs called “Visual” and “Text”:

You need to click on “Text”. Now, all you have to do is paste the code you copied in Step 3 into the text editor. Your page editor will look like this with the pasted code:

5. Access your page or post using your browser.

That’s it. Now you simply need to publish your page or post by clicking this button:

But, of course, you already knew that. Now just access your page through the browser and enjoy your work.

Leave questions in the comments section and I will be happy to answer them.

  • Hi Admin,
I’m really confused. I want to host my page on my own domain. I followed this blogpost step by step, multiple times. Watched the video too. And then let my partner give it a try. But it’s just not happening. I posted the link of the site I’m trying to get it on, so it might be easier for you to see what’s going wrong here.

    • Hi Kay,

Would you mind please contacting us via the support page in your admin panel? I would be more than happy to help you. Also please don’t forget to include the email you used when you signed up. I cannot seem to find you in our system.

      Thank you.

  • Admin,

I am interested in hosting my landing page(s) on my Wix site instead of WordPress. Can you give me instructions on how to do that?

    Thank you,

    • Hi Zahra,

As long as Wix allows you insert your own custom code, you can host you page there. In the above article, look at the part that start with: “Open Notepad on your computer. If you’re using Windows, Notepad is a standard program that comes with every Windows and looks like this:” The code that you copy from the notepad is what you will paste into your Wix page editor.
